WATCH | Police Training | MPs shocked at state of Philippi academy

CAPE TOWN - Claims of mismanagement, fraud and corruption brought parliamentarians to the Philippi Police Training Academy in Cape Town.

An instructor at the facility has been booted out of the service, and is currently before court accused of raping a trainee.

Parliament’s Police Portfolio Committee visited the academy on Friday, to get answers from SAPS management and the Directorate for Priority Crime Investigation, the Hawks.
