Energy minister to engage Nersa about tariff hike

JOHANNESBURG - The proposed 36.1% tariff hike by Eskom is unacceptable.

That’s the view of several political parties, unions and now the Electricity Minister, Dr Kgosientsho Ramokgopa.

Ramokgopa says he’ll engage both the finance minister and the National Energy Regulator of South Africa about the proposed hike.

He was speaking on the sidelines of his ministry's Renewable Energy Seminar.
