WATCH | Household Affordability Index | Food basket costs 0.5% more in September

DURBAN - September was a good month for many things in South Africa, but not food prices.

There was a 0.5% rise in the average cost of the Household Food Basket.

Food stuffs such as maize meal and potatoes all saw increases.

That's according to data released by the Pietermaritzburg Economic Justice & Dignity Group.

The group's Programme Coordinator, Mervyn Abrahams, spoke to eNCA.
