WATCH | Former drug mule speaks out

JOHANNESBURG - The arrests of drug mules have highlighted South Africa’s status as a major transit route and a destination for drugs.

A Namibian drug mule was arrested carrying cocaine at OR Tambo International Airport earlier this month.

On Sunday, a 21-year-old South African woman was arrested moments after she arrived from Brazil.

Police say she becomes the 11th drug mule to be arrested at the airport in two months.
