WATCH | NEHAWU defends R67m salaries for stay-at-home workers

JOHANNESBURG - National Education, Health and Allied Workers' Union is defending a group of 45 Eastern Cape health workers, who've earned a staggering  R67-million in salaries in the past two years while remaining at home.

They are accused of refusing to take up positions at other government hospitals, following the closure of the Orsmond TB Hospital in 2021 due to a decline in patient admissions.

NEHAWU Provincial Secretary, Mlu Ncapayi says it is not true that workers refused to work.
