Union: Public teachers in Zimbabwe are paupers

HARARE - It's World Teachers' Day, and in many countries around the globe, those in the profession face a myriad of challenges and it's no different in Zimbabwe, where the day has brought into sharp focus, the problems teachers confront in that country.

The ZiG currency has wiped off their earning power, after the central bank devalued it, following an outcry from retailers, because of the low exchange rate against the US dollar.
