Two still critical after Joburg CBD blast

JOHANNESBURG - Two people remain in a critical condition following the explosion in the Johannesburg CBD.

One person has died and has been identified through fingerprints.

Gauteng premier Panyaza Lesufi gave an update on Thursday.

Some of the busiest streets in the city have been cordoned off, including Lilian Ngoyi Street (Bree Street), which was severely damaged.

Emergency services have been assessing the situation.
