One killed, 17 wounded at Verulam landfill site

VERULAM - One person has been killed and 17 others injured after a mass shooting in Verulam in KZN.

It took place at the Buffelsdraai landfill site.

Thabile Nqondo, one of the residents who has a business in the area, said, "Show us someone who was injured by us doing what we were doing there."

"Right now, I do not have a plan. I had hope, I thought I was going to be able to save up because it is a business and pay for my registrations to finish my modules."

"Now, I'm being hit by depression from all angles, there is no food, there is no money, there is no plan."
