PRETORIA - Zandile Khumalo denies a fight between her and Longwe Twala led to Senzo Meyiwa being shot.

She was being cross-examined in the soccer star's murder trial.

Defence lawyer Charles Mnisi was grilling the state witness.

"Firstly, Longwe and myself were not fighting. We are happy we were in a good space," she said.

"For me to have invited him home. Things were good between us so that which is being said now I know nothing about."

Khumalo was also questioned about the nature of the relationship between her sister Kelly Khumalo and the slain soccer star.

She admitted there were problems, but that her sister and Meyiwa loved each other.

The trial will resume on Monday.
