Diepsloot leaders hopeful for presidential visit

PRETORIA - Diepsloot residents have been calling on President Cyril Ramaphosa to visit the area to address high crime rates.

While he is yet to visit, community leaders say talks with the Presidency are going well.

They were back at the Union Buildings on Tuesday night.

"There's an action plan done by all the departments. What needs to happen now is to have that action plan consolidated to one plan," said community leader Loyiso Toyiya.

"We've had a very productive meeting which will lead to what we've been seeking which is a permanent solution to our township."
