JOHANNESBURG - President Cyril Ramaphosa is expected to take part in the second Russia-Africa Summit taking place in St Petersburg this week.
The two-day summit aims to create and maintain mutually beneficial cooperation and partnerships between Russia and African countries.
The second summit will consider four declarations and a three-year action plan.
The declarations seek to fight terrorism, prevent an arms race in outer space, and promote information security.
African leaders will also engage Russian President Vladimir Putin on peace talks in the war in Ukraine.
Ramaphosa will engage Russia to finalise the contents and substance of the upcoming BRICS summit.
