Dyantyi refuses to recuse himself from Mkhwebane inquiry

JOHANNESBURG - Qubudile  Dyantyi, the Chairperson of the Committee of Inquiry into Busisiwe Mkhwebane's fitness to hold office, says he won't recuse himself from the inquiry.

Dyantyi has rejected the suspended Public Protector, Busisiwe Mkhwebane's second application to remove him from presiding over her inquiry.

This comes after Dyantyi was implicated in bribery allegations by Mkhwebane's husband, David Skosana.

Skosana alleged late ANC MP, Tina Joemat-Pettersson solicited bribes for herself, Dyantyi and ANC chief whip, Pemmy Majodina.

Dyantyi has publicly denied the bribery allegations and will not recuse himself as the Chairperson or a member of the committee.
