WATCH | SA needs 1,500KM energy over next decade - Analyst

JOHANNESBURG - South Africa's energy crisis is here to stay.

Eskom's Transmission Development Plan shows a funding shortfall of approximately R250 billion.

This despite the country needing 1,500 kilometres of new power lines every year, for the next decade.

Failure to implement this means Eskom cannot meet its own 2027 target for renewable energy.
