JOHANNESBURG - Gauteng Health and Wellness MEC, Nomantu Nkomo-Ralehoko, says refurbishing health care facilities to enhance usability for both patients and healthcare providers is one of the department's top priorities.

Nkomo-Ralehoko tabled the 2024/25 Health Department Budget with an allocation of R64.8bn this fiscal year and R202.6bn over the Medium-Term Expenditure Framework.

The MEC says the funding focuses on priority interventions under the Gauteng 2030 health and wellness initiative.
