JOHANNESBURG - The MK Party is one up. The ANC has lost in it’s bid to have the uMkhonto weSizwe or MK Party deregistered by the Independent Electoral Commission.

It dragged the MK Party and the IEC to court saying the decision of the IEC to register the party late last year was invalid. But judges in the Gauteng High Court in Johannesburg where the Electoral Court sat found otherwise.

The MK Party has been endorsed by former President Jacob Zuma and eNCA polls show it currently as the forerunner in Kwazulu Natal.

There’s still another court battle to come.
