Alex residents picket outside housing Department after being evicted from container accommodation

ALEXANDRA - A few Alexandra residents are protesting against being evicted from Marlboro container units earlier this year.

They've decided to picket outside the City's Housing Department in Braamfontein.

They want the department to address problems arising from their eviction.

175 container units were set up to mitigate the Covid pandemic, but when they were left empty, families from across Alexandra occupied them.
