JOHANNESBURG - Get ready to pop your corks at the end of the month.

South Africa's biggest wine expo, WineX, is almost here.

This year the expo has teamed up with Standard bank Private banking.

The wine sector has been enjoying a blossoming export market, but it could be soured by the effects of Climate Change.

WineX founder Michael Fridjhon said the wine industry is doing well on the surface.

"We’ve seen booming exports in some quarters," he said.

"There are big export opportunities on the African continent and I think we are missing out on opportunity in China.”
