Restore The Power Grid | Are we going to have dark days in December?

JOHANNESBURG - The debate on who should be in charge between Eskom and City Power with regards to managing electricity distribution rages on.

This has left residents confused and wondering what this festive season will look like on the power front.

This past weekend Eskom applied stage 6  which led to some areas not having electricity for ten hours in total a day.

Energy analyst Ruse Moleshe says usually in December electricity is not consumed that much as industries and businesses go on holiday. She says the biggest concern in December is vandalism and theft of power cables that can cause unplanned blackouts.
