Cosatu wants Nersa to reject Eskom's proposed hike

CAPE TOWN - Cosatu wants energy regulator Nersa to reject Eskom's proposed 36.1% tariff hike for next year.

The union federation says Eskom should instead collect outstanding debt from municipalities, and come up with new revenue streams.

Spokesperson Zanele Sabela has warned of dire consequences for the economy, and impact on businesses and struggling South Africans.
