Discussion | Expert talks on recent cases of racism at SA schools

JOHANNESBURG - The principal of Pretoria Girls' High has been placed on precautionary suspension.

This has been announced by Gauteng Education MEC, Matome Chiloane.

It follows allegations of racism at the school, which saw 12 pupils suspended for allegedly sharing racial micro-aggressions on a whites-only WhatsApp group.

Meanwhile, some Pinelands High School pupils in the Western Cape have also been suspended for an alleged racist bullying incident that was captured on video.

Jennie Tsekwa, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Expert at the Kopanya Institute, spoke to eNCA.
