WATCH | All ceremonies to be retained for Opening of Parliament event

CAPE TOWN - National Assembly Speaker Thoko Didiza says there's a distinct difference between the Opening of Parliament and the State of the Nation Address.

Thursday's joint sitting is an opportunity for President Cyril Ramaphosa, to outline policy plans for the next five years.

Didiza says all the ceremonies associated with the opening of parliament, will be retained.
