Justice for Meyiwa | Sergeant Mogane back in the hot seat

PRETORIA - Sergeant Vusimuzi Mogane is expected to be cross-examined in the Senzo Meyiwa trial-within-a-trial.

Mogane was part of the team that arrested Bongani Ntanzi in June 2020.

He’s also believed to have booked out Muzi Sibiya on numerous occasions.

Both of the accused were arrested and charged for other crimes.

But records show that Sibiya was booked out several times for investigations related to the Meyiwa murder.

The court has heard that Ntanzi and Sibiya confessed to the killing.

The defence maintains they were assaulted and tortured into making those confessions.

The trial-within-a-trial is trying to determine whether those confessions should be admitted as evidence in court.
