QONCE - Kidnappings have been on the increase nationwide with the Eastern Cape among the worst affected provinces.

Families of kidnapping victims are forced to pay ransoms or face the risk of their loved ones being tortured or even killed.
An Ethiopian National has described the trauma of being kidnapped.
He says that six armed men took him away and he was eventually released the next day after managing to pay a ransom of R60,000.
The 28-year-old says he was tortured and dumped at a bush in Qonce, Eastern Cape.
