SA's fuel prices likely to drop again

JOHANNESBURG - South African drivers have a reason to celebrate as further relief is expected at the pumps

The Automobile Association forecasts a substantial drop in the price of petrol, diesel, and illuminating paraffin, promising even greater savings.

The anticipated decrease follows four consecutive reductions in 2024.

Petrol Unleaded 93 is set to decrease by R1, 18c per litre and Unleaded 95 is set to decrease by R1, 26c per litre.

Diesel is set to decrease greatly by R1, 10c per litre, with illuminating paraffin also decreasing by R1, 4c per litre.

According to the AA, lower international product prices and a stronger performance of the rand against the dollar are contributing factors.
