JOHANNESBURG - Gun Free South Africa says murders caused by shooting have been increasing for the past ten years.
It's expressed concern about firearm-related violence after the release of the latest crime statistics.
The organisation is calling on government to use its crime data to save lives.
"We have seen a steady year-on-year increase both in murder and gun-related murder," said Adele Kirsten.
"We were last at this number of 34 gun deaths a day in 1998."
