JOHANNESBURG - African National Congress President Cyril Ramaphosa says churches have the power to uplift women in South Africa.

He says this Mother's Day should remind South Africans that women play a pivotal role in society.

Ramaphosa delivered his message at the St John's Apostolic Faith Mission Church in Cala, Eastern Cape.
