Dis-Chem reports decline in interim report

JOHANNESBURG - Pharmacy group Dis-Chem has reported a decline in profit for the six months to end-August.

This is due to a constrained economic environment, higher interest rates and costs associated with power cuts.

Revenue rose 9.4 percent year-on-year to nearly R18-billion.

This year's performance was lower because the previous financial year was partially boosted by Covid-19 vaccines and testing.
