World Obesity Day | Over 50% of SA women overweight by 2030

JOHANNESBURG - Obesity rates are on the rise around the world and South Africa is not bucking that trend.

Experts say more than half of all South African women will be obese by 2030.

Obesity can lead to non-communicable diseases such as Type 2 diabetes and at least 13 types of cancer.

But, buying nutritious food is unfortunately not a possibility for many cash-strapped consumers.
