CAPE TOWN - The community of Strand in the Western Cape is demanding better police presence in the area. 

On Wednesday, two people were shot dead after being mistaken for gang members. No arrests have been made.

The community policing forum is demanding a meeting with police to discuss crime prevention in the area.
