JOHANNESBURG - Thousands of people dependent on non-profit organisations face an uncertain future.

They'll have to fend for themselves following the Gauteng Department of Social Development’s decision to implement what it calls Institutional Realignment Project.
 

This may lead to a cut in funding to some NGO's, in line with the project. The move has been met with criticism from the non-profit organisations and opposition parties in the province.
