DURBAN - The Hindu community is mourning the passing of Ashwin Trikamjee, last night aged 79.
As a renowned human rights advocate and religious leader, he dedicated his life to fighting for justice and uplifting his community.

Remembering her father Thulja Trikamjee, says Trikamjee fought for people of all backgrounds and religions and led by example.
"Even though he was a leader in the Hindu community he said a world where in of religious tolerance, respect was paramount," she said.
Trikamjee contributions to law, social justice, and the Hindu community in South Africa have left a lasting legacy.
He was the first non-white President of the Association of Law Societies of South Africa.
