JOHANNESBURG - The 2025 AFCON will see a healthy representation of countries south of the equator.
Bafana Bafana is the strongest of the nations at the bottom of the continent, but there will be a keen eye on the likes of Comoros and Botswana who are going into only their second AFCON tournament in their history.
The Zebras of Botswana had to wait till the last day of qualifiers to punch their ticket, as they held record seven-time champions Egypt to a draw on matchday six.
The man who saw Batswana over the line is South African and interim coach Morena Ramoreboli.
