JOHANNESBURG - The government said it's stricter immigration laws will help secure the country's porous borders.

President Cyril Ramaphosa says while the Border Management Authority is still fairly new, it's made strides in curbing unregulated entry.

But some political parties say government has failed as illegal immigrants still find alternative ways to enter the country.
