COPENHAGEN, DENMARK - South Africa to lead a new SADC military mission in the DRC.
The United Nation’s peacekeeping force, Monusco, will be withdrawing from the Congo after 20 years.

Many have declared the UN mission a failure because rebel groups continue to run amok in the eastern parts of the country.
However, experts warn that South Africa cannot afford teh new mission without extra funding and personnel.
