Restore the power grid | Energy sector set for major changes

JOHANNESBURG - The signing of the Electricity Regulation Amendment Act has cleared the way for profound changes in the energy production sector. 

The piece of legislation is aimed at creating a competitive environment and ultimately reduce the cost of electricity. 

The act makes provision for the establishment of an independent transmission company which will be the sole custodian of the national grid.
