PRETORIA - After signing the contentious NHI bill, president Cyril Ramaphosa's pen was in action again today, signing two pieces of legislation.
The amended National Council on Gender-Based Violence and Femicide Act is aimed at accelerating the fight against the scourge, while the National Prosecuting Authority Bill paves the way for the establishment of an Investigative Directorate against Corruption.
For more on what the new acts seek to achieve, professor Mahlogonolo Thobane from the Department of Criminology and Security Science at UNISA had a discussion with eNCA.
