Joshlin kidnapping trial | Judge to rule on trial within a trial this week

SALDANHA BAY - Judge Nathan Erasmus is expected to deliver a crucial ruling this week on the admissibility of alleged confession statements from Jacquen Appollis and Stefano van Rhyn in the Joshlin Smith kidnapping and trafficking case. 

The two accused claim their statements, containing information about the little girl's disappearance, were obtained through assault and coercion, leading to a more than two-weeks
trial-within-a-trial. 

eNCA reporter, Ayesha Ismail reports that if the judge has his way, the main trial would be finalised by the end of this month.
