The 88-year-old library closed in May 2021 after reports showed it was unsafe for occupation. But the foundation questions whether it is, in fact, dangerous.
Some experts say only the fire systems needed an update. An inspection of the library is set for Friday, the 1st of March.
Flo Bird, founder of the Johannesburg Heritage Foundation, spoke to eNCA.
