Ethekwini residents asked to disconnect Jojo tanks from municipal water supply

DURBAN - Despite facing constant water outages, eThekwini municipality is calling on residents to disconnect their Jojo tanks from municipal water supply.

The city says its reservoirs are low due to the increased number of Jojo tanks that residents have installed.

Residents are instead encouraged to harvest rainwater.

The Democratic Alliance in eThekwini says this is unfair to residents who at times go for days without running water. DA eThekwini caucus leader Mzamo Billy spoke to the eNCA.
