WHITE RIVER, MPUMALANGA - The South African Human Rights Commission has found that a number of key institutions failed 21 young people who died at Enyobeni Tavern, in the Eastern Cape.
The commission fingered the Eastern Cape Liquor Board, the Buffalo City Metropolitan Municipality, the police, the Eastern Cape Health Department and other government departments for violating human rights.
Families of the 21 young people are now hoping for justice.
Legal expert Richard Spoor had a discussion with Masego Rahlaga on this.
