But now, regulations for the Traditional Health Practitioners Act have been published.
According to Sashin Naidoo, an employment law specialist at Cliffe Dekker Hofmeyr, traditional healers are subject to legal regulations pertaining to traditional medical practices. What they can do is provide a legitimate sick certificate that entitles workers to sick leave.
