DURBAN, KZN - The South African Medical Association has welcomed a ruling handed down by the Gauteng High Court that certain provisions of the National Health Act are unconstitutional, specifically, the requirement that doctors register for a ‘certificate of need.’
The certificate gives government more control over where healthcare professionals can practice.
