Discussion | Johannesburg faces backlash over proposed tariff hikes

JOHANNESBURG - Civil society groups and political parties have strongly criticised the tariff hikes proposed by the City of Johannesburg for 2025 and 2026.

The groups say the increases are unaffordable and will hit vulnerable residents the hardest.
