Discussion | International Literacy Day | 10 libraries to receive scrabble boards

JOHANNESBURG - The Toy Library Association of South Africa will be donating Scrabble board games to 10 toy libraries across the country.

This is in celebration of International Literacy Day.

The importance of such initiatives cannot be overstated, especially considering the ongoing literacy crisis in South Africa.

Eight out of 10 South African school children are still struggling to read by the age of ten.
