Discussion | AHMSG 2024 conference to be held on 16 and 17 August

NIGERIA - The African Helicobacter and Microbiota Study Group (AHMSG) is hosting its first International Conference from 16th to 17 August at the President Hotel in Bantry Bay, Cape Town. 

This conference will address the critical issue of Helicobacter pylori infections, which have a significant impact on public health across Africa, contributing to a high prevalence of gastrointestinal diseases, including peptic ulcers and gastric cancer.

Prof. Stella Smith from the Nigerian Institute of Medical Research and AHMSG founding President, spoke to eNCA.
