WATCH | Cholota will apply for bail - Lawyer

JOHANNESBURG - Moroadi Cholota, the former personal assistant of Ace Magashule, is not a fugitive and deserves to be out of jail.

That’s the view of her lawyer, Piet Tibane, who says Cholota will apply for bail when she appears in the Bloemfontein Magistrate’s Court on Monday.

Cholota was extradited from the United States on Thursday to face corruption-related charges.

These arise from the R255m Free State asbestos contract given to controversial businessman Edwin Sodi.
