JOHANNESBURG - The Special Investigating Unit has expressed concerns over an increase in fraudulent medico-legal claims.
Speaking in Parliament last month, the Auditor-General revealed claims have increased since 2018.

Most of these relate to medical negligence.
The SIU uncovered 158 matters to the value of R2.9bn handled by one legal firm.
But, it could find no hospital records for any of the claimants.
