Probe into Navy personel death off Kommetjie coast

JOHANNESBURG - A probe is underway to determine the cause of an incident in which three Navy personnel were killed on Wednesday afternoon.

It is understood the mariners were transferring to the submarine SAS Manthatisi from a helicopter, when they were swept away by high waves in Kommetjie. The

National Sea Rescue Institute assisted in recovery operations, which was negatively affected by rough sea conditions.
