JOHANNESBURG - Gauteng police have made a breakthrough, arresting 6 suspects linked to the alleged hijacking and murder of late the Kaizer Chiefs soccer player Luke Fleurs.
A joint effort between the SAPS, Honeydew Crime Intelligence, CAP Special Operations and Fidelity led to the recovery of the vehicle and the arrest of 6 suspects in connection with the killing.
Fleurs was driving a red VW Golf GTI into a petrol station on 14th Avenue when he was confronted by two armed males.
The suspects were traced and arrested in Slovoville, Soweto on Wednesday morning.
The hijacked car was recovered on Monday.
