NPA confirms efforts underway to extradite Guptas

JOHANNESBURG - South Africa is not giving up on extraditing the Gupta brothers.

Rajesh and Atul Gupta are wanted both in SA and internationally for alleged corruption and money laundering.

The brothers’ business empire spanned a variety of sectors, including mining, media, and technology.

The family also had close relations with former President Jacob Zuma and his family.

NPA spokesperson Mthunzi Mhaga says the Justice Department has resuscitated talks with the UAE.
